Tsavo West, Amboseli and Tsavo East safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli park

Pick up from Nairobi at 07h00. Depart for Amboseli, this is will be about 4 hours of driving, arrive at the gate at around 11h00, game drives en-route to the lodge, arrive in time for lunch at about 12h30, afternoon rest until 16h00, followed by afternoon game viewing drives, returning back at the lodge at around 18h00.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Nestled in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, this national park offers the best chance of a close-up view of the African savannah Elephants grazing in the open plains or wallowing in the mud. Kilimanjaro's 6,000-meter high snow-capped peaks towers above the park and presiding over the landscape, which boasts more big game than almost anywhere else in Africa.

Day 2: Amboseli to Tsavo West National park

Early morning game breakfast, then depart for Tsavo west park drive through the shetani lava flows, towards chyulu gate, the road to Tsavo west is through masai land and quite interesting, arrive at the gate entrance after about 1-2 hrs drive, game drives en route to camp arriving in time for lunch, short break until 04h00 followed by afternoon game viewing drives until 06h30 returning to camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Overnight at camp or lodge

Tsavo west is about 205km from Mombasa and about 3hrs 30 minutes’ drive depending on traffic. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some great game viewing and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species.

Day 3: Tsavo West to Tsavo East park

Early morning drive at 06h30, return for breakfast at the lodge, visit mzima springs 08h30 - Depart for Tsavo East, this drive will be about 2 hours to voi gate, a bit on rough road then the rest on tarmac road, there will be a stop for toilet use, before we get to the Tsavo park by around midday, a short game drives en route as you head to the lodge or camp, Lunch at around 13h30, take a well-deserved rest until 4.00pm followed by afternoon game viewing drives arriving in time for dinner overnight at the Lodge or camp.

Tsavo East is simply the Elephant in Eden - The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the red soil and mud is a sight to behold.

Day 4: Tsavo East park to Diani beach or Mombasa

Early morning drive at 06h30, return for breakfast at the lodge.08h30 - Depart for Diani after breakfast, drop off at Mombasa airport or hotel, or Diani beach at around 14;00hrs.
