Tsavo is made up of two separate parks, Tsavo East National Park and Tsavo West National Park. Located in Coast Province of Kenya in between Nairobi City and Mombasa. Tsavo is nearly 22,000km2, being the largest national park in Kenya and one of the largest in the world. The park was split into two by the Mombasa - Nairobi highway.
Tsavo west is about 205km from Mombasa and about 3hrs 30 minutes’ drive depending on traffic. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrublands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. Tsavo West offers some great game viewing and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species.
Tsavo East is simply the Elephant in Eden - The sight of dust-red elephant wallowing, rolling and spraying each other with the red soil and mud is a sight to behold. The Galana River passes through the Park and this provides life giving waters in this arid region. It is home to some of the largest Elephant herds in Kenya.

Mombasa airport - The nearest international airport to Diani Beach is the Moi International Airport in Mombasa. Condor airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish airlines, and newly launched Qatar airways fly direct into Mombasa airport. Other airlines that fly into Mombasa are Kenya airways, Domestic connecting flights include Fly 540, Skyward and Jambojet. You can either fly in from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or catch one of the direct flights from Europe and other African countries.
Day 1: Pick up from mombasa airport and drive to Tsavo East park
Your arrival into Mombasa airport should be ideal to be able to allow us to depart for Tsavo East park on your day of arrival. Ideally we prefer that we pick you up during morning hours latest by 13:00hr to gives us ample time to get the 1st park. Our driver/guide will meet you at the airport with a breakfast box or lunch box before departure for your safari.
On arrival of your 1st day in Mombasa Kenya we will depart for Tsavo East park, this is will be about 1.5 - 2hours of driving on the mombasa-nairobi highway, enter the Tsavo East through Bachuma gate, from here you will begin your game viewing drives en-route to your lodge/camp. Lunch at the lodge will be at around 12h30 – 13h00, rest until 16h00, followed by afternoon game viewing drives until around 18h00.

Day 2: Drive to Tsavo west park
Next morning after a well deserved rest, you will begin your early morning drives in Tsavo East park from 6.30am until 8.00am. You will have a good breakfast before departure to Tsavo West park. Check out of your lodge and continue on game viewing drives as you head towards Tsavo west park. The distance from Tsavo East to Tsavo west gate entrance is about 1 hour and half. You will enter Tsavo west park through Tsavo river gate and continue on your game viewing drives inside the park.
You will arrive at your 2nd night accommodation by lunch time, check in and have a nice hot meal, then take a long rest until 4.00pm when it is cooler and easier to spot animals. More game drives will follow until 6.00pm return to you camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive down to Diani beach
Early morning drive from 6.30am followed by breakfast at 8.00am. Departure for Diani beach will follow after breakast with game drives enroute. Stop over by Mzima springs and see some hippos and crocodiles as the laze in the clear waters.
The drive to Dian beach will take about 3-4 hrs depending on the traffic on the highway. You will arrive in you hotel by around 2.00pm. Check and then rest for the day.

Day 4: Diani beach and Indian ocean beach resort
Enjoy your holiday on south coast Diani Beach and soak up the beauty and peace of the hotel surroundings. Warm, azure seas and sparkling white beaches and lots of activities offered around the hotel.
Your stay at the Indian ocean beach resort will be on Half board basis.
Day 5: Day on the beach in diani
The hotel has spa facilities or simply go for walk towards the kongo mosque and tiwi river which is just 10 minutes away from Indian ocean beach resort

Day 6: Day trip to Kisite marine park and wasini
Early morning departure from your hotel at 7.30am and drive to the sleepy village of shimoni. The drive from diani beach is an hour and half. You will be met by our representative who after the formalities will take you on board a dhow then you after an hour of boat ride, you will just into the ocean and explore kisite marine park.
After about two hours of snorkeling you will have worked up an appetite and ready for lunch. You sail back to the mainland for lunch.
You will then visit the shimoni slaves for about 15minutes then drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Departure
After a good breakfast we will transfer you to mombasa airport for your departure home.
Depending on your international flight arrangements, you can either fly from Diani beach which has an airport that flights direct to Nairobi airport.
