
Covering an area of over 1,500 square km, the Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November.
Governors Camp Mara nestles in the forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, it’s waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile, in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve.
Govenors Camp Mara has 37 tents overlooking the Mara plains and others on the river side. All tents are classic safari style each with en-suite bathrooms and a private verandah. There is a bar tent with deck overlooking the Mara River and dinning tent with views over the plains.

Day 1: Fly from Diani beach to Masai MaraPick up from your hotel in Diani at 07.00hrs, depending on location of the hotel pick up times may vary, Ukunda airport is 15 minutes from your beach hotel. Transfer to Ukunda airport after security clearance you will board on the scheduled flight departing from Ukunda airport at 08.15am to Masai Mara game reserve. The approximately travel time will be around 2hrs and 15 minutes and the views on the way is spectacular, whether permitting Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen in above the clouds on your way to Masai Mara. You will be met on arrival at the and transferred to the camp with game drives en-route, lunch at the camp, take a short break until 16.00hrs and thereafter continue with the afternoon game viewing drives in the reserve, returning for dinner at around 18.30hrs. |

Day 2: Day in Masai MaraEarly morning game drives at 06.30am returning to the camp for breakfast at around 08.00am, After an early breakfast at your camp it will be time to set off for another scenic drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, the highlight of any visit to Kenya. Although the reserve is particularly famous for the Wildebeest migration, wildlife viewing here is exceptional all year round. Governors camp is located inside the Mara triangle and there the crossing points are easily accessible from this camp. Day 3: Last day fly from masai mara to Diani Beach
Early morning game drive 06h00 to 08h00. You will then return to the camp for full breakfast. After breakfast you a chance to explore Mara for the last time which is followed by lunch at noon. Flight departure to Diani beach is in the afternoon which takes about 2hrs to Diani beach. Take the scheduled flight back to Diani beach which leaves at around 1.30pm arriving at about 3.45pm you will be pick up from the Ukunda airstrip and transferred back to your beach resort.
